I’ve known this man
for sixty years.
He hides his brains
behind his ears.
He’s listening for
the voice of God.
His neighbors think him
rather odd.
He hides his eyes
behind his tears.
He’s waiting till
his vision clears.
He’s grieving for
the human race,
Who hide their Self
behind their face.

Wonderful poem!
Sounds like someone I know, too.
